Powerhouse Records is proud to offer another classic reissue in our “Guitarchives” series, Unfinished Business by the legendary Danny Gatton. This CD was first released in 1987 for NRG Records and was Danny’s last studio album before signing with Elektra Records.

The album is a typical eccelctic Gatton mix of roadhouse, honky tonk, blazing country tinstrumentals, blues, classic swing jazz, ’50s-style R&B, and timeless ballads, including two bonus cuts, “Nit Pickin’,” a Guitar Player magazine soundpage from 1989 that did much to bring Danny’s phenomenal playing to a wider international audience, and a previously unreleased 1975 recording of “Quiet Village” which later showed up on Danny’s 1991 Elektra Records debut 88 Elmira St.

Unfinished Business has been remastered with a fat shimmering sound perfectly suited to enhance the sparkling twangy guitar sounds that are the hallmark of the Danny Gatton guitar sound. The redesigned package has new art work and photographs, as well as the original front cover reproduced as the tray card art.
